Test drove an M4 and happier than ever with my 288i

I test drove an M4 coupe yesterday.
I don't know how to best describe the experience but it was neither extremely positive nor negative. "It was not bad." - is how I can best describe it. Yes it has a lot more power than my 228i. But that power comes with a significant heft. It costs twice as much as my F22, but wasn't twice as fast.

The whole time I was thinking how I would love to drive this M4 on a track. It would be soooo delicious. But, in everyday situations, I'll stick to my 228i THP. It's just so much lighter, happy around corners and when zipping between lanes.

The test drive also made me look forward to the M2 even more.

[UPDATE: Made a typo in the title - I meant 228i. If there is an admin here, please correct for me. thanks.]

228 is sweet, I find the M4 a nicer car then the Mercedes E class sedan & coupe - cars that are in the same price category.

Don't get me wrong, the M4 is a fantastic car and I may end up owning one some day. But my point is that you really need a track to enjoy it.
In my urban life the 228i is just a much much better fit.

The M3 is a better buy. M4 is too large and impractical for its size.

You can now drive an M4 in the superb PC racing simulation Assetto Corsa. Like the OP, I am happy to drive one but prefer to own a 228i.
