Non-sport seats, missing thigh support

Previous BMW's I owned all had the extending thigh support in the seats. The 228i is my first one that has basic seats without this feature.

At first I didn't really care, but over time I found that my legs are in a lot of pain after long drives. (I'm tall, so basically just using muscles to hold my legs in the correct position the whole time.)

Has anyone found a solution to this? I assume there is no way to retrofit this feature into the basic seats, am I right?
