I've ordered a M240i. It's interesting that the M240i now has 4 wheel options, the new 719M in black or bicolor and the old wheel design in grey and black. No HUD is offered for those who are asking. The two new blue colors aren't available with the M-sport package. And no snapper rocks color option. Atleast not in my country.

love everything on this car except the rear lights. the design of the rear lights just cheapens the car in my opinion. the dimensions on this car is spot on for a coupe. the 4 series the rear quarter is just too long on a coupe and on the 2 it is perfect.

Does anyone know if the front indicators are LED? Ill hopefully be retrofitting both front and tail lights in my pre lci as it's been missing led from new! I'd expect them to be to stay in line with previous lci standards but some pictures look like there's a reflector in there.

The rear lights actually look really good just have to see them from different angles to appreciate them to the fullest.

This is redesign for the sake of redesign. Nothing new here that looks better than the original. Keep it real BMW.

Same, though if this LCI had it I'd probably feel some extreme buyer's remorse.

That's like saying a 50 year old should not get a slightly makeover before they start the last half of their life

Of course they should !

This essentially non-facelift may cost BMW a quite a few sales.
I believe the existing crop of 2er owners should have been the largest target audience for the LCI version. We're already sold on the car.
I suspect many of the early 2er owners may have opted to upgrade to the LCI version this year or next had there been more substantial visual changes and/or features/options.
I know I would have.
My son (who currently has my old 2008 1er ragtop) wants to buy my current M235xi ragtop and I had planned to order the 2018 LCI 2er had there been enough of a diff to make it worth my while.
But for now, I'm holding off.

This.....not sure why they are bothering based on the minor changes I've seen documented

You need to go drive the new engine.

I can't imagine a better engine for the 2er than the N55. It gives me way more power than I need or can legally use.
Other than a modest bump in HP & torque, in what way is the B58 better for the 2er than the N55? - and, if it is better, does that alone justify the "upgrade" to the LCI version?
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a valid reason to upgrade (as would my son).

Effectively BMW did two LCI's.

Engine and now a refresh.

I cannot speak for you.

Go drive the m240i.

OTHERWISE...

Wait for Gen 2 of the 2er.

If you look the the numbers between the N55 and the B58 there's not much of a difference, but when you drive them, the B58 pulls much stronger and all the way to the redline. I didn't drive them back to back to compare them, but when I drove the M240ix I was shocked how it pulls. Probably wasn't expecting much of a difference. But I'm a big fan of the B58 ever since. But is that a reason to upgrade? I wouldn't bother, the N55 is still a great motor and it just sings.

I like the orange, but not enough to trade my Melbourne red M235i. If it were in Valencia Orange? Maybe...
