Looks good! What are your offsets? Matters more than anything else on these cars.

Super stoked on my TA5R wheels from BimmerWorld! Originally wanted some VMR's but they were back ordered for at least 3-4 months, thankfully discovered these and thought the price was great.

- 18x8.5 +38 square in gloss gunmetal (weighed in at 18.2 lbs on my scale)
- 235/40/18 Pilot Sport 4S tires
- Stock suspension

Thanks! I haven't pushed the car hard yet, but I don't expect any issues, might even be fine with a slight drop until some more negative camber is required.

BimmerWorld sells this spec of wheel with our cars in mind and has a nice gallery that happened to use this exact size and model of tire, so that made me feel good.

I'm new to the 2 series world, but from browsing the forums it seems like an offset between +38 and +42 is the sweet spot for an 8.5" wheel, so in a perfect world +40 may have been the way to go, but the wheel selection was limited, and a wheel with +45 would have required a front spacer as I really wanted a square setup...anyways, sorry to ramble! Happy to provide more pics if anyone wants.

Here's the inner clearance at the front, probably the tightest spot:

My thoughts are the same, glad it worked out for you. I agree the 40 offset is the way to go but like you say, they're not available with an 8.5 which means the 45 offset with a spacer and i'm not a fan of spacers (no offense to anyone just personal preference)... anyway, looks great in my opinion...
My other thought is 19x8 et42 with 235-35-19, that should work. I'm so undecided on this, i guess we'll see... good luck with your set up

Got some Gloss Black Enkei's TS-V 18 x 8.5 ET 38 wrapped with Mich PSS's

Loving them so far!

Definitely feel the difference in weight, Originally wanted some VMRs but this was a better option.

They are 225/40/18 Square setup

Im thinking about moving up to possible 235-245 square but we'll see. The 225, lets the ass kick out a bit in tight turns.

These look amazing! Real nice alternative to Apex for flow-formed wheels. The TA8S model also looks great, but the wheel width and offsets aren't right.

I'm curious about the 17x8.5 +38 size and caliper clearance. I may look into it when my current tires wear out.

Hey there, I'm pretty new to the BMW scene and most of my tire lingo is from a lifted tundra with 35" tires, blah blah.

Please elaborate on "Square setup" I assume you mean tire width matches rim width as opposed to narrow or wide tire width?

Thanks

Yah! Square Setups means that all tire widths and size of wheels are the same on all four corners. Versus Staggered which means two wheels and tires are different sizes from another.

For example - Staggered would be 225/40/18 in the front and 265/40/19 in the back.

Hope this helps!

Had a photoshoot with the SSR Reiner Type-6 18x9et45s on. Square with 255/35/18 Yokohama Apex V601's. First professional photos since the Signal Orange spray-wrap went on. I love this car, and SSR Type-C's were the teenage dream wheel.

Can I ask you why are you moving to 18"?

I´ve a very good opportunity from a local vendor for this rims in 19"...

Please extend your answer. I want to know exactly wich is the problem: performance, consumption, ride quality, etc...

Thank you very much in advance.
