I know haha Actually, one of your posts awhile back convinced me that 17’s could work visually. So thanks for that !

I’m seriously considering getting the same set and putting DWS conti’s on them for daily use... price is certainly tempting. I’ll be the Tire Rack poster boy

I installed Brembo ceramic brake pads to replace the M Performance pads that came with the M perf brake kit less than 1 month after installing said kit. I couldn't take the dust.

Initial bite is actually better and they feel great so far.

VMR 703

Bought these a few weeks back but just got around to putting them on.

V703 19x8.5 ET40 Pilot 4S 225/35-19
V703 19x9.5 ET45 Pilot 4S 255/30-19

I think maybe the rears have way too much poke?

If you lower it, it will naturally induce enough camber that the rears will tuck under the fenders. I had 265/30-19 on H&R in the back and they sat flush. With passengers in the back it rubbed the fenders on large bumps but otherwise not at all.

As it is, nobody but you and the people you point it out to will notice the poke, trust me. Looks good IMO

I just installed the body color front and rear reflectors.

Advice for installing the fronts is to turn the wheels towards you, and undo 4 of the screws for super easy access. I used a rag to help push the clips forward. Start with the top of the clip. Once the top is popped off, edge slowly down until the bottom clip releases. I accidentally broke one of the clips, but oh well. New ones clip right into place, and you probably won't hear a snap.

The rear reflectors take 2 min to install. The clip to release is directly in the middle of the reflector at the bottom. Push up and it will pop right out. Fingers won't hurt at all with this one. The new ones pop right into place, and have a reassuring snap when installing.

I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. Really blends in well with the car.

I had poke also when I got my wheels. It drove me insane for about a week and I haven't noticed it since. No one else has noticed it and the friend I pointed it out to said it looks good that way.

When you're behind a car on the road and see nice fat rubber on it with a little poking out the side, you know its a car with some grip.

Its like when you wear shorts that are way too tight, you're showing everyone that you can do business.

Quick picture after getting home. This is how the car should have come. This is a 1" drop and there's still room for a finger. Very happy! Not much difference in ride quality at all. Feels a bit more planted around corners. I got all 4 springs and bump stops installed plus an alignment for $800. Thought it was an excellent price after asking around and hearing what some guys on here paid for install.

Looks good.

I got the Dinan springs, bump stops, and sway bars a while back. And yes, it's a heck of a difference.

And I agree, this is how they should look when they're made.

Dropped my car off yesterday to have Dinan Springs, Bump stops and Sway Bars installed. Learned today that the right rear shock is blown and both rear shock mounts need replacing. It's likely that these items were the cause of the issues I hoped to resolve with the Dinan parts. I ordered two new Bilstein B6 shocks which should be in soon. Super annoyed that the dealer didn't mention anything when putting in the LSD las week. Budget is taking a beating...

I bought the car used and had been disappointed with the handling - now I know why.

I believe they are - he didn't say long or short to me - just measured and fitted.

No kidding, right. After 840 miles since last fall, my car goes in on Tuesday for its one-year oil change.

I have neighbors telling me the states to which they're driving, while staying in resorts, hotels, motels, B&Bs, Airbnbs, etc. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to do that.

I fear that it will be 2022 before I'm back on the road enjoying long road trips again. Today, I settle for one-to-two-hour get-all-the-fluids-warmed-up drives. It's been very different, but it's also given me another way to enjoy what is, really, a very nice car. In that context, I could go on...but if I got started...so, I won't.

I'll guess that you don't live near or around state/national forests then.

Hitting those twisty roads with the top down has helped me pack on the miles.

There are plenty of twisty roads in this region, starting with those outside my front door. That's the principal reason I chose the M240i and put a suspension, LSD, etc. on it.

I've driven through your part of the country a couple of times, once from Boise to Yachats via Bend and the other time on US-101 from Crescent City to Astoria. Both were very enjoyable drives, although my vehicles weren't quite what ours are today, one being a Jaguar E-Type Series 3 and the other a Volkswagen Vanagon. The tires especially were a mere shadow of what we have available today.

In my book, the top twisty-roads-with-trees-alongside around here is just outside Wayne National Forest in Hocking Hills State Park.

Car and Driver magazine has been using HHSP for real-world testing of sports/performance cars for a number of decades now. When you first drive it, you can see why – along the different roads there exists every challenge that might expose one or more flaws in a handling car. This is one of C&D's pieces where they discuss the roads in the park:

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...d-test-review/.

This one is a 25-year old comparison test of five supercars of the day that C&D took to HHSP:

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...mparison-test/ .

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to sit in the right seat of an F355 Challenge Car being driven at speed at Watkins Glen. As a result, and despite the F355 having finished 3rd in C&D's comparo, out of the five of them that's the car I'd choose to own today if twisty back roads were going to be the measure of the car.

If you're ever in this part of the country, HHSP is well worth driving. This was the route my local club (BMW CCA's Buckeye Chapter) ran to and through the park last fall:
