Stopped displaying album art?
I have a 2016 228i, never had any issues with Bluetooth or displaying album art. The other day, it stopped showing album art and I cant find a fix for it. Tried looking on BMW website for update but it says my car is updated, tried restarting my phone and disconnecting bluetooth, doesnt work on USB either, updating phone etc. Service advisor at BMW told me to update the car or my phone but they're both updated. I have an iPhone. Help please!!

I don't know how long you've been using iTunes/Apple Music, but over the years it corrupted all of my ID3 tags, which caused issues with iDrive displaying things correctly. I had to buy a third party editor to fix them all. It was a PITA.

Im also having this issue on my 2016 M235i... I haven't really cared for it, since my music still plays. It would sometime show the album art/time stamp... sometimes not. Not really sure why it started doing this all of a sudden. Maybe its a sign to get Apple Carplay . If you figure it out keep us posted!
