Is anyone running spacers? What brand?

I have style 264 wheels from my old 1 series and I want to try them on my new f22. They look good on the car but don't clear the brakes.

I found a forum post from a few years back and 12mm should suffice.

I've been looking at ECS Tuning because I trust them but front and back put me at $260 CAD.

I'm in Ohio, as is ECS and my shop, and I think the shop went to ECS/Turner Motorsport for my 5mm rear spacers. And yes, spacers seem to cost quite a bit for what they are.

BTW, and a bit off-topic, one thing about spacers that isn't always understood is that if you need an oddball size, you can always buy a wider spacer and have its width reduced by a machine shop. Voilą, custom spacers!

Further BTW, if you're ever in the market for spacers of 15mm or less, this is where you go for the world's sexiest spacers: https://www.rogueengineering.com/Rog...cer_p_238.html.

Sexy in a functional way perhaps

Apex makes nice spacers:

Looks like you are from Canada, go check mga performance auto. I use their spacers and bolts, good quality and price.

Venum on Amazon 12mm with extended bolts. $120 shipped or so. Flawless quality, probably comes out of the same factory the name brand ones do, had them on for a few weeks now:

https://www.amazon.com/5x120-Black-C.../dp/B01MY6T3IQ

I did shop around and looked at every available option, and ended up with these. Name brands really take you for a ride with the price, it would have been 2-300 otherwise which is rediculous

Yes. I recently picked up a pair of 12mm and 15mm spacers with extended lugs from Rogue Engineering. I don't know if they are still doing pickup because of COVID, so call to be sure.

EDIT: Did not see you from Canada

What spacers did you use with the style 264 rims as I had the same idea, however the tire shop told me the tires would rub.

Tires didn't rub but they fouled on the calipers.

I used 12mm all around.

Edit: noticed you're from Toronto and have an EB car too. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks and yes, I'm from Toronto too, but my blue is Long Beach.
How did they foul up the calipers and what tire size and brand did you put on?

Sweet, not a lot of long beach f22s.

On the rear the spokes would hit the M-sport brakes when I would try to spin the wheel, never even test fit the fronts without the spacer. There is no way you can run these without a spacer if you have the bigger brakes.

I'm running 255/35r18 in the back and 225/40r18 in the front. They're Firestone Indy 500 tires.

Other than the spacers, did the camber have to be adjusted? That's the same tire size I was going to use but the tire shop said the tires would rub if spacers were added. I wonder if there were some slight changes between the M235 and the M240 that might make the tires rub on mine, or maybe the xdrive setup might cause it?
Needless so say I'm quite disappointed and I'm currently set to get the original rims installed on Tues, but with Conti ExtremeContact Sport tires.
Could you private message me as I wouldn't mind discussing this further as I really want to make this work.

Nope just the spacers. Tire shop could just be cautious.

My car is RWD so maybe there is a bit of a difference? The Continentals could be a bit wider even if they're the same size too.

Yes, it could be either one or a combination of all of those points. At least putting on some good performance tires will be better than the OEM run flats. I now have a set of gloss black rims that I will be posting for sale; know of anyone that might be interested? Lol

I've ran ECS tuning spacer, turner motorsport spacers, KSP spacers, 5mm, 12mm and 15mm. No issues for all 3.
