Arrow Question About Exhaust Burbles.

Are the burbles a sound all B58's have or is it my MPE muffler making it sound like that? I have the dinan mid and rear pipe (rear pipe has factory resonator on it) and a MPE muffler.

The burbles are a B58 thing (and probably other BMW motors too). The MPE plus mid pipe, down pipe accentuates the sound.

Okay thank you. Isn't there tuning software which can turn it off or at least decrease the sound?

Yes, the tuning options for the car can help control this. JB4 you can open or close the exhaust valve. Then the BootMod 3 (and I think MHD) you can do more fine tuning with the burble sounds.

A flash tune like bootmod3 allows you to monitor the burble easily; you also turn it off completely which affecting the exhaust sound.

The jb4 cannot control the burble sound, but it can control the exhaust valve, which lowers the burble sound and lowers the exhaust sound.
