Crankcase vent pipe leaking
Hello All,
2015 M235 is getting its 60k service today. I just received the following Email from the shop: There is an oil leak from the crankcase ventilation pipe and it has contaminated some of the cooling system hoses. My recommendation is to replace the faulty vent pipe, replace the affected coolant hoses and perform a cooling system flush. I did a search and couldn’t find any info on this. What are your thoughts? |

The crankcase vent house runs along the top of the valve cover i believe(correct me if i'm wrong) ...Not sure how that would get mixed in with the coolant...Did they maybe say that some oil leaked out of there onto some coolant pipes? Maybe it doesn't even need a coolant flush... I'll let other members chime in here though.
