Best Brand for Downpipe?

Going to go stage 1 this summer

I'll be doing:
Bootmod3 93 octane tune
Evolution Racewerks CP bc I hear vrsf and AA have fitment issues
Downpipe

And that's it, don't want any of the problems that come with more power. I'm learning towards fabspeed catless bc it sounds good and seems to get good reviews, pretty pricey though compared to others like Vrsf/aa/wagner etc. Who would you recommend?

Define best, if you are looking for a downpipe with no CEL get Fabspeed catted or Active Autowerke catted.

All proven brands will fit and perform the same

I'd rather go catless since a tune will clear the cel. If they all are all the same why is the fabspeed catless so much more than vrsf catless? I'd assume fabspeed is better fit and provides more power. 2014 Auto RWD btw

Also I had a fbo 335i with a catless dp and all I remember smelling was gas which I kinda liked. Is it the same for the m235i?

How was the fit ? You do or did shop have issues ? I was leaning that way, Fabspeed like 40% more and I'm ok with cell difference in 2.

Is that all you did with chargepipe ? Any issue with upper RPM torque ?

The fit was good, I did it, but I did have to bend the mount bracket around a little bit to get a bolt through.

I did the AA muffler as well. No issue with power, doesn't feel different than stock, but don't expect it to without a tune.

I went with the VRSF catless downpipe a month ago and it took 40 minutes for me to put it in. Great construction and great reviews. Been using it with a stage 2 plus tune and it's been perfect.

How's the smell and what tuning company did you go with?

Do you mean ceramic coatings like VRSF sells? Lots of people get them done, my buddy on his e92 335i has his downpipe coated and it definitely helps with heat vs non coated

Ceramic coating helps with heat a lot, it's very important for the users who constantly tracks their cars

I read something like it gives you marginal gains in heat protection but that's just a quick read

In my biased opinion, I think the HJS Euro 6 300 cell catted downpipe is the best one out there I've had mine for over 2 years now. No CEL. No issues. Looks OEM. OEM like build quality. Two 150 cell cats rather than one single 200 or 300 cell cat like used on other DP makes. The OEM DP uses two 300 cell cats. The best cats out there (HJS). AMAZING sound, lots more burbles. Semi-exotic, thick, and muscular sound.
