Do you have access to ISTA or OBD code reader to cross check that there isn't an error code that don't trigger a CEL yet?

How does it sound compared to stock DP?

Yes, I have the ScanGuage II installed to the OBD port and no errors.

The sound, well it IS louder but since I have the M Performance Exhaust with the automatic flap control, if I put the car in "comfort" mode, the sound is mellow (a little louder than with the stock DP) but if I put it in "Sport" and combine it with "Sport mode" transmission, it roars. I will try and do a video and review this weekend.

AlexGT , it could be the reason. US spec tend to require stricter emission control. But as I mentioned, it is a hit and miss. I just came by ER yesterday and they told me again that it is not guaranteed.

That's good to know, thanks for sharing that, I will keep an eye on the OBC reader to see if any CEL errors appear in the future, thanks

Nice, please post more sound clips of Downpipes with or without cats and include the vendor/brand of the downpipe!

I'm curious of soundclips with just replacing a Downpipe and stock or MPE exhaust.

Curious to see if they are all pretty similar in gurgling on throttle off.

Who's got the best sounding DP ??

AlexGT, I just remembered that you have RaceChip Ultimate installed on your car.

Does it have an auto CEL/DME Errors clean like JB4?

That may not give evidence of no CEL with stock not tuned ECU...

Would it be possible to test ER catted DP without tune to cross check that all is OK with stock ECU?

Best would have been a long term evaluation of several thousands kilometers...

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for my late response but I'm business traveling a lot these weeks. I currently don't have the time to uninstall the RaceChip and do the tests you're asking me. I have no CEL errors if you're wondering. RaceChip does not clear CEL errors either (it doesn't work like JB4), so if the ER catted DP in the future throw me CEL error (which it hasn't yet) it will because Racechip has no control of getting rid/block CEL errors.

DashCommand or Torque Pro connected to your bluetooth (Android) or WiFi (iPhone) will read/clear codes, I even saw an option of auto-clear every certain amount of miles. I think JB4 has this feature, but I wouldnt want to have CEL auto-clear. Because I want to know if its directly related to DP or not.

AlexGT, i'm shopping for chargepipe and catted downpipe :-D

Wish you safe business travels

I wanted to upgrade FMIC but there's none available.

I'm going catted because i dont want the CEL and dont want the bad gas smell. I know I will lose a few single digits hp/tq versus going catless & not as loud but hey thats fine with me. Going to add the ChargePipe too. Getting K&N drop-in filter wanted to get injen intake but none fit lol & N20 might not need it unless I had upgraded turbos.

So this week K&N drop-in, then trying to see if I find a good price for CP and DP and have the Dyno shop do runs before and after mods.

Good luck with the mods brother

I think I will finally put the drop-in from BMC this weekend (my last performance mod)

I recently installed the AR Design catted down pipe and absolutely love it. Noticeable power increase, sounds amazing and no cel in over 500 miles.

Any downside in the fact they only use 3" piping instead of 4"?

Not that I know of. They claim to have tested both sizes and supposedly saw better gains with the 3". I just went with ar due to the fact that they are a reputable company with a slightly less expensive product.
