Potential dirt/sand grains in boost pipe after installing intake?
Hi,
EWG N55. Every bay has the slightest bit of dust or grains of sand in the crevices of pipe fittings I would think. I was installing a carbon fiber intake, and noticed when I disconnected the intake form the boost pipe that the smallest amount (literally maybe 2 specs of sand) of debris fell down into the boost pipe. Is this any cause for alarm? Just trying to be cautious. Thanks. |

If tiny little bits of sand/dirt dropped in, i wouldn't be worried. If by chance you built a sandcastle above your intake piping and it maybe had a little to much water in it and fell apart into the intake, yeah I'd be worried. Take all your boost piping apart and clean it out.
Better to be safe than sorry.
