JB4 MAP 6

Hello everyone,

I have a 16 M235I 6MT
I did some logs on MAP 5 and also messed around with MAP 6 settings and logged the car as well. Does anything look off?

MAP 5 LOG 1
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

MAP 5 LOG 2
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

MAP 6 LOG
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

MAP 6 SETTINGS ATTACHED

The car runs fine but sometimes it will throw the below codes (usually top of 3rd gear), car still drives normal no changes when codes appear.

102A22 MAF, air mass too high
104302 Absolute pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility, caster: pressure too low
104301 Absolute pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility, caster: pressure too high

I am new to all the numbers and was wondering if someone can point me the right way.

Mods on the car:
VRSF CHARGE PIPE
VRSF DOWNPIPE
MUFFLER DELETE
EWG CONNECTOR
JB4
STOCK INTAKE
STOCK FMIC (WILL UPGRADE TO VRSF HD FMIC)
10 GAL of Shell 93 / 3.5 GAL of E-85 (Tested)

Thank you

Sounds like your iat temps are getting so high the dme is not only pulling timing but sending codes for air mass to high. Car will go into limo mode and flash an engine malfunction if it gets even hotter. Get yourself an intercooler and for the time being dial back your tune.

I'm not entirely sure as I'm team MHD, I believe any OTS tune can't be modified unless you're a WiZaRD. And even then I wouldn't do that. What kind of intercooler are you going with?

i see.. i wanted to go with BM3/MHD but i decided to purchase an extended factory warranty from BMW since i purchased the car with 70k miles.. I know with JB4 you can set to MAP 0 and they can still cover the car without any issues. I was looking at purchasing https://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-interc...i-n20-n55.html

I heard good reviews about it and the price seems fair.

VRSF sells some great stuff, that Intercooler should work great. My buddy just had his new 7" VRSF intercooler put on and it's beastly.

So you just logged one third gear pull? Can't tell to much off that log but from what i can tell it looks good, little bit of boost creep over a few hundred RPM's but that's fine. Your boost was right under your target through the entire gear, can't seem to see if you have any timing corrections but for the most part that looks good.

Try logging a 2 to 7th pull on the highway or something.

can you tell me your mods and fuel used for these pulls?

your boost is kinda slow to hit it's target but i can't see that being a problem as your boost stays pretty consistent with it's target all the way through.

hows the car drive?

Is there any options I can change to hit the target? The car feels great I was cooking during those pulls 2nd gear it was a little squirrelly 3rd gear pulled really good, 4th gear I hit around 140..and let off.

Can you send me one of your logs so I can see how yours look like?
