Oh yeah I forgot that the Dinan is cf. I think I'd prefer the cf anyways haha. I've got the injen so I wouldn't be missing the pretty cf.

it took 2 rolls, about 70$ to just get that done. The heat will actually bubble it up as well.
Dang my dreams are shattered. The injen looks like it's sprayed with truck bedliner kinda. Very thick textured paint. Mone would probably be crinkled to hell.

Where'd you get the tape? Amazon?

Install was a slight pain on my 2016 because of some plastic box in the engine bay. It's above the shield for the intake. I had to he-man that thing out of the way. I typically see it as missing in most pics of the intake, but the instructions don't say to remove it. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine and up load it.

Updated: Here's a pic. Note the black cover to the left of the driver side strut tower.

What work was involved in getting the black plastic piece on? Planning to do this intake soon. Any pics would be most helpful thanks.

Any updates on the experience of the new vacuum line location and if the CEL persisted?

Do you mean the plastic pipe that connects to the intake? It was pretty straightforward. If you mean the black plastic piece by the strut tower it was a pain in the buttocks. At one point I was just going to leave the cover off. Fiddling with that thing was literally 50% of the install time. Other than that the install was a breeze.

I still love the intake though. It sounds so good.
