I wondered what the clay was for! Now I know. You can find them very inexpensively on eBay. I think I got mine for $7. Here is the link I used.

It’s been years since I used k&n air filters but I remember they made the engine a little more noticeable and you could hear the turbo a bit more. Just be careful not to over oil your air filter and always let it dry a while before putting it back in. On the e39 m5 there were horror stories of people ruining their MAF sensors due to air filter oil.

Hi all total newbie here just bought a 2018 m240i xdrive unfortunately it didn’t come with CarPlay. After dancing around with the dealership asking how to get it on there someone told me to go to usbcoding.com. Great! Went on downloaded the file followed instructions and nothing. After going back and forth (this guy was amazingly helpful!) we determined I needed to use a cable to download CarPlay... I’m not entirely sure why. So here are my questions
Has anyone done this and used Usbcoding?
I’m guessing that this is because I’m not sure that I have a WiFi antenna despite having everything else. Bmw connect etc. Should I continue with the install with the cable (orderede enet cable from amazon?) any issues anyone can foresee? Thanks I appreciate the help.

Today was replacing the fixing bow and a spark plug change. I should have pulled out the vacuum while I had the engine bay half apart and cleaned out some of the dead leaves. I got everything that I could by hand, but there were a few down in crevice's that I couldn't reach.

With the latest ISTEP usb codings are no longer possible. If you don't want to buy the carplay subscription in the connecteddrive shop an enet cable is the way to go.

Thank you ! I tried buying through connectdrive but it wasn’t available for purchase on my car. And obviously if it’s all the same I rather not pay the subscription. That’s why I was instructed to go this route... I’m thinking it’s the WiFi connectivity?

Does this make me the worst person in the world? Go easy on me. It's the first time in 18 years of BMW's I've ever added an m badge. I thought the gloss black was a little less poser but then decided to plastic dip and glossify the chrome "230i".
