That is an interesting idea. Might also look good if you were to leave the vents exposed as carbon fiber. Anyone know if those are functional or just for show? The price is not bad.....

Cool design. I'm not sure how I feel about Seibon products though. Last edited by maddoc; 08-06-2014 at 12:30 PM.. |

I had the seibon m3 style hood on my 135i and the fitment and weave was great!

Hoods look awesome! Surprised they're already producing for the 2 series.
In regards to Seibon's quality, you WILL need to put an extra two or three coats of clear on the hood once you get it. Otherwise, it will start to yellow from the sun, as their UV protection process is laughable at best. But other than that, they make an A+ product, in regards to fitment and quality. I've got an OE-style hood on my 2008 350z, and the fitment and quality are perfect. I had a shop add on two coats of clear, and I haven't had a problem with yellowing since. |

I sent them a question on the OEM style hood. I am curious what the weight savings would be compared to the stock hood. This would also help the M235i....since it is a little heavy in the front on weight distribution.
