Sport Display Popup Gone
Since they recoded my computers, and since I set up most of my stuff back to how I want it, I realized that when I go into Sport mode, the momentary offer of Sport Display does not pop up ... the one that goes away after a little while unless you press the iDrive button.
I can't find in the menus how to turn it on. It still does display if I ask the voice thing for it. Was that something I coded? Does anyone remember how you enable it? Thanks! |

if someone can lead me by the nose to it, i’ll be grateful. |

I'd like to know as well. I can't find any way to enable this on my 2018 M240i. Though I don't have navigation so I only have the smaller screen, and maybe for me that's the reason.

I can turn it on, and just for fun I set button 1 to do it, but the automatic offer of sport display when going to sport mode is gone

Have you been fiddling with BimmerCode? This feature can be disabled there. So maybe it does not show up in iDrive menu if you have disabled the function via BimmerCode?

I recently got my computers reflashed in a recall, and it went away then. Remember, I can get the controls up with voice or the vehicle menu. What's missing is that when I used to go into Sport, it would pop up a brief opportunity to show the sport console. If I'd press the iDrive during that interval, the sport console would come up, otherwise the display would go back to whatever it was doing before.
So it's not turning sports console on that I'm missing, it's this brief offer to turn it on when I go to Sport mode. |

I guess rather than code it, I'd leave it, since it appears coding would nuke my shortcut buttons again. If it's in iDrive, I'd set it up. I sort of enjoyed putting it in Sport and then slamming the iDrive button for my magic displays

OK, that's weird, the sport displays thing and the configure sport thing are back. I swear I didn't change anything. Maybe I'm losing it ...

Ron, try My Vehicle/iDrive settings/Pop-ups/Driving Experience Control. If checked, the Sport pop-up displays. Perhaps you have this checked for one key/profile but unchecked for the other.
