deAuto LED Rear Turn Signal, Reverse, Brake Lights
So got a chance to try out deAutoKey's LED bulbs for F2x, F3x and have to say I am absolutely impressed.
The left side of the tail lights are the OSRAM LED and the right side is the newest CREE LED. Cree is evidently a little bit brighter but Osram have a more amber turn signal light (Cree's amber is a little bit mixed with red maybe due to housing). I'll update with pictures on the built quality but it is very high quality built. Also, brake lights had 3 bulbs and I only ordered 2 on each side so one of the middle bulb is actually oem stock. Well I'll let the pictures do the talking. As you can see in this one, the outer bulb is evidently brighter. The middle one is the stock oem. the inner one is LED as well but I think its just angling issue so you can't see it as bright. In the picture, both turn signal is about the same color but in reality, left (Osram) showed a lot more orange/amber than right (Cree). But you can tell that the right is a little bit brighter. Update: http://deautokey.com/product/bmw-f2x...e-turn-signals Now I have to mention that it did flash on engine start but not any other time. After reading some user on f30 using other led stating led flash when driving, I've decided to test it out further this weekend. Hopefully video will be posted. So the vendor is setting up the web page but I'll have some discount code for you guys as well so please wait a bit! It'll definitely be cheaper than Bimmians LED.
If you're in socal area, I can install for you for a small fee. Install isn't hard but you do need some tools to remove the rear tail lights completely. I'll post up install thread later possibly but you have to remove the 2 washer screws underneath the black flap cover next to the taillights. |

Just one question, as far as I know, when you hit hard on the brakes, the brake lights do warning hyper flashing automatically. Have you checked if this still work with the LEDs installed? Thanks |

Update - so it looks like the Cree does throw an error by flickering. However, it's not consistent. I'm not sure what's the reason but I'm guessing it has to do with the total wattage. It started after I switched brig reverse lights to Cree. I'll play around with it some more and keep everyone updated.
The front turn signal result isn't great sot here communicating to manufacturing to produce something brighter. |

So you think the OSRAMs will not flicker when I start the car? I've not yet installed the ones I purchased (6 OSRAMs bulbs for the stop lights only), to be honest I haven't done it yet due to the possible flickering at start up.

Thanks Chris, I've just looked at the video, I see it flickers a lot during startup. For how many seconds do you think this flickering goes during startup?
