Ever since driving m240i coupe, I wanted to buy one. Manual and convertible absolute must, everything else negotiable.

I am located in Seattle and would prefer something close (WA, OR) because it’s winter. otherwise willing to fly out in the spring/summer and get the car, or get shipping figured out.

There is one for sale on Seattle's craigslist that is convertible with red interior and MANUAL transmission.

Looks like the car is actually in PHX but is posted up here.

Yep, I think I saw it. Would prefer to not have to drive over the mountains right now, but also see the car in person first. Might just need to wait until summer rolls around.

Looks like we’re on opposite sides of the country looking for the same car. I’d love to hear about your experience in the search/ability to negotiate a decent deal. I’ll be happy to share, as well.

I don’t know where you’re located, but it seems to me that there have been comparatively more of these cars on the east coast since I started the search. I’ve seen quite a few in CT, VA, FL, MA. Even now, there is one in Akron, OH. Try checking it out.

On this side, 90% of them have been in LA area so far, not surprisingly.

I think I will simply order a brand new one if I can’t find a used one, before they discontinue production.

I’m in southern New Hampshire. I saw the one listed in Akron, OH. Seems a bit $$ for an ‘18
model with a crash reported. It is CPO, though, so it’s probably minor. The black one in CT was overpriced for a base model. It sure drove nice, though

The reality is that we are looking for a fairly rare desirable car, might not have much wiggle room on the pricing.

I hope you find one locally soon, because I make be in the market soon, as well, and I'm in Vermont, but NW, near Burlington. My 1974 Lotus Europa is nearing completion, but at almost age 75, I question whether the driving pleasure will compensate for the difficulty of ingress/egress. I'm reserving judgement until I can drive it again, since it's been off the road for more than ten years, but, assuming I sell it, the m235/240 convertible, preferably manual, is currently my first choice. My daily driver is a 2016 435i xdrive Gran Coupe M-sport. I've never owned a convertible, so it's getting close to "now or never".

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I flew to OH one way last week and drove a black sapphire metallic/red 6mt convertible back to NH for my wife’s b-day. We couldn’t be happier with the car. The warm days make it feel like the beginning of convertible season here. I searched casually for about 2 years and got serious about my search a few months ago. Missed one in Baton Rouge I liked a lot and had one from Miami checked out that was not at all what the seller was advertising.

Confirming - vert is non-negotiable? I have an estoril blue coupe (manual, 15') in the Seattle area I am getting prepped for sale in the next coming weeks.
