Hey guys,
So Carbahn is having a sale on their tunes and was looking into it. Output seems a bit lower than BM3, but wanted to see the consensus if anyone else has this tune. How do you like it? It seems affordable now and while I think BM3 is fine, this tune seems a bit easier on the engine. Also, my DME was locked prior and I was planning on bringing the car in to get this tuned at a BMW dealership, they could unlock it right? Edit: I'm on B58 engine but any input is welcome! |

Carbahn comes with a warranty which is a plus but does not offer nearly as much as bootmod3 in terms of power, features, or user control.
both are very easy on the engine and leave a good margin of safety. Bootmod3 does not push the car to its limits

They're associated with Steve Dinan; or they were – I'm not sure which.

Dinan was in partnership with BMW and Chip Ganassi to provide Dinan-built BMW engines for Ganassi's Daytona Prototype Grand-Am program. The partnership's first race was Ganassi's winning 2011 Rolex 24 DP effort at Daytona. The partnership resulted in a total of four Grand-Am Rolex Series DP championships, including a second Rolex 24 win at Daytona. In addition, beginning in 2003 Dinan was an engine supplier to BMW race teams around the world, with many class victories and several championships. In 2015, Ganassi hired Dinan directly beginning with the Le Mans effort and the new Ford GT fielded by Ganassi.
