What kind of navigation system is this?

I was just browsing images of 2-series on the internet when I came across this one on an australian dealership's website. I thought all factory nav systems came with the large widescreen display? This one seems to be the smaller display that's installed in non-nav cars.
What is going on here?

Business media.

5.5' screen.

Professional gives you the larger screen and a lot more.

Does anyone know if that is an option in the US?

When I ordered mine the only option was the technology package with the larger screen (too expensive for me).

I know that, but my question is can "business navigation" be added to US spec cars with the small screen?

My car has the HU_ENTRYNAV module which supposedly only needs a FSC to enable business navigation. Being able to actually get it activated is a whole other issue.

There is a BMW OEM nav module that you can add to a car without nav. Think ~$700. Ask your parts dept for details or contact Brian at Sun BMW.

Just swap the screen out for an Avin screen and then you have CarPlay and whatever Nav you want to install. Much nicer screen and runs the stock software alongside an Android OS.

In the USA Nav business, as others have mentioned is what you are looking at, from what I've seen is only an available option on the X1 and X2. BUT I remember reading a bulletin a while ago stating it could be retrofitted to certain late model BMWs not equipped initially with navigation.
It was quiet costly and needed a new Idrive controller and some other parts.
Unfortunately Dealerspeed (our source to get the info) hates me on my laptop even with all java permissions given to it... BUT I FOUND IT!
