Unfortunately you can't. Its not really about 'my amp' if you decide to updrade your factory amp you will have to code it off, no other way around it. I can't lower it down but it affects the tune.

I'm a little perplex of how most of the 3 series customers don't have an issue coding it off. If you read at the F30 threads most of them don't care for ASD. Even our customer with the 228i which i used to create the tuning file didn't want to lose it.

ASD is good for people that don't want an aftermarket exhaust (not everyone does), but would like their car to sound good inside.

I will spend the $150 on the Focal speaker upgrade, then call it a day most likely. Hard for me to justify the $800 amp only upgrade while also losing ASD.

If I find the system to be so terrible after the speaker upgrade, I may look to an amp.
This is my honest opinion as a car audio enthusiast and not a vendor. Don't waste your money on upgrading the speakers if you have no plan on upgrading the amp. Might as well keep the system as it is.

I also want to clarify that this not just an AMP. It has a 8 channel digital signal processor with 31 band eq per channel, time alignment, active crossovers, phase adjustments and much more.... Most standalone processors that have this kind of tuning capabilities start at $700.

.
That's just werid. In my simple understanding of most amps. The signal from ASD would just be amplified, so a new amp shouldn't change that.

I geuss in someway it makes sense that BMW built in a special feedback loop, otherwise as you turn the sound up your 'engine' gets louder and its probably tuned to have a steady output.

Anyway to put a new amp inline? IE take the high level inputs into a new amp?

From what I have read, the amp is giving more power to the speakers causing the ASD to be louder. But thats the purpose of the amp, to improve the sound system by adding more power to your speakers. Regarding whether this amp is PnP, I don't understand how any other amp in the market can compete with this one in regards to the simplicity of install. This amp was build to plug directly into the car and uses the original harness. When looking for a aftermarket amp this is the reality, more power means louder ASD. I am pretty sure every single amp you install (other than the factory amp) will deal with this.

Except if it the original amp was acting like a simple amp, replacing it would making everything equally louder canceling out the louder ASD.

That is baloney and you know it. In almost every instance no matter what the application, upgrading the speakers appropriately makes the single biggest positive difference in sound quality. In our case, better speakers also magnify the stock HU and amp's weaknesses and biases regarding DSP, D/A conversion, etc. But it still makes the system sound much better than OEM, to the point where it is reasonably bearable depending on programming.

You know how crappy the OEM Hi-Fi speakers are, Nelson. If what you state was indeed the case, companies like BAVsound and Jehnert wouldn't stay in business.

No argument there, either. And BimmerTech's pricing of this unit, even without the group-buy discount, is really good, particularly when compared to the stock version of the Match amp. I'm not contending that the product is a bad one; not in the least. I'm contending that to operate it properly requires a vehicle modification that not everyone is willing to adopt, much less be aware of. It's important for a potential consumer to know that from the manufacturer.

I've stated my issues with the positioning of this product. I'm not going to rehash them beyond the above.

Are there any measurements available to quantify why this trumps the JL Audio XD600/6?
