I picked up the 240i last week. Haven't really drove it around yet. I think the HK sound system is decent. The exhaust on sport mode crackles a little. I think a AWE full exhaust will mimic the MPSSK on on the 440i.

Personally, I agree with all that you said, but would argue that the Remus is a more premium option in the exhaust department.
