My new 2018 M240i (Mineral white/cognac leather/wood trim) with ALL the options and a 6MT. Here are the mods:

M-style black grilles
Carbon fiber spoiler
Black front splitter
Rear diffuser
Carbon fiber mirror caps
Rocker panel side skirts
Fender M logos (OEM)
35% window tint

Now, just need to do the front reflectors!

Is it just me or is the stitching on your passenger seat coming apart on the top of the outside seat bolster?

I have seen it in real life. Much darker than photo. Looks good, even better in the perforated version but not sure if that is a 2 series option.

Was looking at cognac as a 5 series option for a friend who's car I was building but they wanted massage seats which are only available in Nappa leather so we had to pass on the cognac.

1. Did you get the M Performance exhaust? Cant tell from pictures

2. How did you get the M badge on the side? Mine did not come with one.3.

I think what your seeing is the "piping" where the seat back meets the outside bolster?

Did you plan on doing the side skirt splitters? They're the blades that run below the decals, they finish off the look, imo. Otherwise the car looks great and it seems you're moving along, quickly, with the mods. Have fun!

Can anyone tell me the actual point of those silly orange reflectors near the headlamps, surely redundant as I believe these cars now have LED daylights?

Side visibility. Legally required for manufacturers I think. I'd have to look at the car at night to convince myself whether they were really needed. Folks here think they are.

Tell me about the side skirts - they're just decals? The side skirt splitters sound interesting as I've not seen them anywhere yet. Love the tinted glass but it's not legal in Michigan for the front windows.

He has two parts done I believe. The decal with ///M Performance is on the side rocker panel. Then there is a rocker panel "blade" below it, which I think is installed on his car as well, just the black color it comes.

I have a similar setup below, my blades are painted EB to match the car for contrast.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a 2018 M240 coupe which comes with M Performance body kit and 19inch alloys. My question is. How is the ride on 19's without adaptive dampers? Appreciate your thoughts.

If you are in Cardiff, Wales, then fine. Cardiff, Maine, not so much. It's all about the quality of the roads, especially whether you have potholes.

I live in Cardiff, Wales, and we're not especially known for having great roads. I can handle a firm ride but was wondering if it would be bone crunchingly bad, or if it's supple enough.

I was looking at one just like that yesterday. A 17 with 2,500 miles on it. The dealer was asking 46k for it which is a great deal but sadly I could not get them down to the price I needed.

46k for a used ‘17 is not a great deal by any means. I suppose if it was a fully optioned X-Drive it might be decent, but the reality is, you can buy a decently optioned (~50k sticker) brand new ‘18 for 46k.

Good question, but it is not. It's the way the lighting falls on the seat. Here is the closer up pic.

1. I got the exhaust extenders, but I don't think they are the M performance variety (those are CF, I believe).

2. I purchased OEM M badges for the fenders from eBay (about $80 for the pair)
