E46 Floor Mats For F22
Does anyone know if E46 floor mats will fit an F22? Apparently the fit works the other way around. But, the F22's are just slightly oversized for the E46. My thought is that the smaller ones may be okay for the F22. The older OEM mats were made of a much higher quality in my opinion.

It seems to fit, this is the E46 mat over the M240s.

Or you can just order a nice set of Lloyd's mats from bavauto.com - much nicer than OEM, and less expensive.

I actually had a 2005 e46. But, I traded it in on my new 228i. I'm actually in the process of getting it back lol. I had super remorse after leaving it at the dealership. It's my baby. I love my new car too. But, I thought maybe I could get the old one back to sell and swap out the mats, as they were a brand new purchase. However, I found some amazing "Sport Line" mats fairly inexpensive NEW, carpeted with the rubber underneath the gas pedal OEM. My new car is jet black with the Sport Line interior. So, these will look amazing.
*Thank you for experimenting for me. The fit looks close in your picture. Still good to know for future reference. |

One of the major causes of 'run-away' acceleration is poor mat fitment. The picture show poor fitment at the accelerator, though not as poor as at the dead pedal. If the mat slips up, you have a recipe for disaster.
Do the world a favor and ditch the old, worn-out mats in favor of a set that is made for the car. |

I'm using my old E92's all-weather/rubber floor mats in my F22. It's not a perfect fit and is just slightly smaller width-wise (better than E46 mats from the above pic) but it's good enough to prevent me from wasting money on another set of floor mats.
I also have F32's all-weather/rubber floor mats (looks like BMW branded WeatherTechs) but I believe those are a bit bigger. |

I think if you look at my response, I did purchase new mats made for my car. Also, my old mats were BRAND NEW. But, thanks for that bit of advice. |
