How do you lower the rear seats?
The manual shows a pair of levers in the trunk behind the rear seats that are to be pulled so the seat backs can be released and folded down. I don't see or feel these levers, and I don't see release levers in the rear seat area either.
This is operator error, I know, but I'm stymied here...how do you lower the rear seats?

As mentioned above, it's located under the rear deck. Imagine where the rear deck speakers are placed and it's near that in the trunk. There are two levers, one for each side.

Thank you, gentlemen!
I was looking much further into the trunk, and when I saw where the levers are actually located...well, I just laughed and went "What are they doing there!?!".

When I test drove the Alfa Romeo Giulia I asked the sales guy how the seats went down and he told me they don't... It says right on the window sticker they do so I popped the trunk and showed him the levers after I found them as they aren't THAT uncommon.

Maybe he meant that he didn't think that particular car had that option, if we're being generous.

When I test drove mine, the salesman 'wasn't sure that was an option on this [228]' and I thought he was covering up his ignorance with a line. Then I got a taste of the BMW 'options smorgasbord' and it didn't seem so far-fetched that they would at least consider making one w/o these.
