The polished lip is a rim protector, BBS includes those with the wheels, you can buy them in other colors or take it off and have an all black wheel.

Love these wheels, but hesitant to go with a square setup with only 8" width in the rear.

Do you happen to have any pics of these running on your 2, especially anything that shows rear profile and spacing in the wheel arch?
