Ah awesome! Congrats! I've been calling the 800 number almost daily and haven't gotten any news back. Looks like you may get yours before me. Luckily, I think I'll be able to have my truck sold before the M235i gets here at least.

you are being built week 25 (week starting) June 16, i believe the means your delivery would be late July, not June.

Just called again for an update and was told my car was ready for production and would begin production "anytime now in the next few days". Last time I called I was told week 25, so maybe it will start a bit sooner than expected. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but this wait is the worst!

The guy I spoke to said that production/assembly takes 5-7 days, but sometimes 3-5 days. That seems awfully quick, but I guess robots don't take too many breaks and as long as my car doesn't fall apart I'll be happy. I was one of the lucky guys with the 135i passenger airbag impression in the dash, so hopefully none of that crap either. |

i wouldn't hold your breath on that. a few of us in a different thread all started around the same time (5/20-5/21) and production for us has been 13-14 days. maybe you guys will be lucky and have it completed much quicker.

Congratulations man, lucky that it worked out for you how it did
The wait is the hardest part. watching every video, reading every forum, then getting all your mods does kill some time but after that, it sucks again. lol I dont know my production week yet. Im still waiting on the final sale price for the car and trying not to ask any questions until I at least get that firmed up. I was told late July when I placed the order so think ill be right there with you guys as far as delivery.. but hope im sooner |

Pre-sold cars actually help dealers a bit. They are kinda guaranteed a sale and don't have to store the car. That costs them money. They should make it the other way around.

That was this dealer's initial push. They wanted me to pay MSRP. It took me going to another dealer and then back to them to get any sort of discount. I can't blame them, they want to make money on a car that they know I obviously want. Just have to have more patience and get them to compete for a sale. I know in my area, there are pretty much 0 M235i's on dealer lots and when they do get in, they sell fairly quickly.

New update. I sent an email to BMW to get an update while I was at work on Monday. This morning I got a reply back and this was the response:
"Our records indicate your vehicle entered production this morning, June 11th. Please note that production status updates are estimates and may be subject to change throughout the process." If this is correct, then I'm a very happy person. Last week I was told that it was going to go into production on 6/25. |

My guess is that it was week 25 not the 25th. If so that would mean it was just a few days early.

It's funny how similar car people are haha. I'm also from the Northern VA area, had a 2010 135i, currently drive a 2013 VW Golf R and just placed an order on a M235i haha. Anyways, what dealer did you end up giving your business to?

Good news to report. I was just told by BMW USA that my M235i just enter production today and the estimated completion date is schedule for 6/19.

Awesome, I wasn't given an estimate for a completion date, but I'd assume I'm looking at the same then. Congrats! I've got to be honest, since placing my order I keep looking at 996 turbos to pass the time, it's not making the wait any easier. |
