I'm pretty sure that's what we heard last week too.

Do we expect that the bmwusa.com configurator will go online concurrently with the release of the order guide, or could they be staggered?

Must say that I'll believe it when I see it. This wait is getting ridiculous though

No, seriously....ANY day now...we aren't kidding...at all...

But we KNOW the M3/4 will be on December 12.

This goes back to a thought I had thrown out a few months ago, that the roll out and whatnot with the 2 series has been a clusterf***

I feel like BMW has really dropped the ball on this one...

I am really starting to lose my enthusiasm for this car...I have extended my current 135 lease with the assumption that I will get an M235, but I am not locked into that by any means...

If you can afford it, get a true M car

I hear you there--there really IS a difference...

When I had my first 135, it had a JB4 in it, and the N54 was way more potent than the N55 I have now...and my dad had a 2007 Z4MC...which is the baddest car I have ever driven...

Well my car was a little faster off the line, but his car was better at absolutely everything else...better braking, better feel, handling, turn-in...and anything over 60 MPH and he was just GONE.

The feeling and rawness of that car was spectacular...we used to go out and just empty the gas tank for the point of driving like a couple of hooligans.

Maybe I will skip the M235 and hope for an M2 instead.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Also, just an owning a true M car will make you feel special. Not that the M235i won't be special, it just seems more like a 235i than anything else.

BMW need to OFFICIALLY confirm the M2!

Not sure at what point you extended your lease, but did you initially have a production # to extend your current 1er? I know you have 2er "on order" but curious how BMWFS handled your extension. I know BMW can allow up to 6 months, but at what point did you require proof in order for them to extend the lease?

Speaking of the new M3/4....as much as I think I'll love the 2er, I do have my eye on the new M. My 335is lease is up in September 2014. I want to wait as long as possible to order the M due to the expected ridiculous residuals and high demand. I figure I have a 1 or 2 month "grace" period to extend my 3er which would take me to the end of November 2014. If I place the order in November/early December (Holiday cash?), 3 months later will take me to Feb 2015. I would prefer not to take delivery in the winter in the North East. I wonder how far I could push it back? Of course all the while, I will want a new car in August/September!!!

I do have a deposit down, and an initial production number--but that isn't showing up in any system as of yet--and the car can't be modified yet either.

When I called BMWFS, I gave them the production number, signed an extention letter and that was that. They told me that I could go up to 6 months over my original term, which would be May if I wanted to wait that long...

My guess is that if you have a production number, you could work with your particular dealer on "moving" your spot around in line to meet the time of year that you like best.

But 6 months is the overall limit to extend the lease, at least to my knowledge

I'm in the same boat. Just extended my lease yesterday.

I got a silly lease offer on a 14 S4 via a relationship I had with a sales guy over at Audi, and it seems that much more enticing all of a sudden.

Enough. Let me order the freakin car.

My bro has a brand new S4.

To be honest, it's a great car, BUT I feel because of the Quattro, it will end up being dull to drive after a couple of years.

Wait for the M235i or M2. Just my $.02

Lease Extensions

I easily extended 4 months without an order or production number. One BMWFS rep told me you can extend beyond 6 months if needed when waiting for a new car.

Thanks guys

Now back on topic...so much for the end of the week and the US order guide! And I doubt the order guide will be released next wk with the online reveal of the M3/4 on the 12th (not that I'm complaining about the online reveal of the M). I guess those of us here on this subforum are the only ones around who are really interested in the 2er
