Wheel Spacer Potential Issues?

Was curious if anyone is running spacers ONLY on the rear wheels and if it caused any issues outside of increased understeer (2014 M235i). Specifically I am looking in the 10-12mm range.

Current wheel setup is 18X8.5" ET38 APEX ARC-8 up front and 18X9.5" ET58 APEX ARC-8 in the rear. Front wheels already poke out a little bit so that is my reasoning for not wanting/needing spacers up front.

As of now, I have zero plans to track the car, just some spirited driving on back country roads.

Thanks for any insight!

I have ARC-8 18X9.5 ET58 rear wheels with 5mm spacers.

Not sure if the following helps or not, but...

The camber is -2.2°. The fenders are pulled, although I can't tell by looking at the car. The rear also has Koni-based shocks and 600# springs from TC Kline Racing. It has a 1.0" drop.

You can see what it looks like in the first post here: https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1532418.

First off that's a hell of a build you've put together! Secondly, did you only need to pull the fenders due to the lower aftermarket suspension? I should have included in my original post that my suspension is completely stock.

I gave the car to TC Kline to put together for me, and I'm not sure what the answer is to your question. I do think that lowering had something to do with it, as the car had 255/35-18 Toyo R888Rs with 10.2" section widths fitted in the rear. But how much I don't know, as I wasn't there when TC did the work (he specified the wheel size and suggested a 265 tire). I've observed wheel and tire test-fit sessions before, but the results are always quite specific to the car model.

There have been quite a few questions like yours posted in the past, usually in the Wheels and Tires subforum, and you might get more useful information there. Sorry I can't be of more help.
