I'm missing the m metal foot rest plate, driver side glove compartment and lumbar support dial... My dealer is checking if these are suppose to come standard for Canadian M235i models. Anybody missing the same or more?

Definitely have the foot rest. Don't think I have a glove compartment (if I do I don't know where it is).
I believe lumbar is not standard on our cars for some reason as well. Manual or ZF8 could be the answer to the footrest. |

I have all three. Metal footrest plate should be standard. Driver's glove box (left of steering column) comes with the optional storage package. Lumbar support dial comes with the optional lumbar support package.

The M dead pedal came standard for me, and I've got a pretty basic M235i. I didn't get the driver's glove box (kind of wish I did...), and no lumbar support.

Alright guys new revelation. Please all chime in.
So my M is near fully loaded and I was checking out the spot for the drivers side glove box (just in case I had been so dense as to not notice it) and it's taken up by the switches for my lane keep assist and collision warning ( for those without these features they can be turned off at will). Maybe this is why I don't have the box? Can anyone confirm having the switches for those features AND the glove box? |

Makes sense. i was just miffed about not knowing about the package that included it but it looks like it wouldn't have been available on my trim anyhow...

Exactly right!!! We travel to the US by car way more often than most americans as the vast majority of the Canadian population lives on the border. It is moronic!

I just recently noticed this in the pictures. I can't believe there is no imperial option. I travel to Buffalo a few times a year. How will I know how fast I am going without trying to roughly approximate with on the fly mental conversion? Is there a digital readout that can be changed via iDrive?

I'd bet a dollar that not many people know the metric/imperial conversions for speed by memory. Last edited by Tony_YYZ; 10-02-2014 at 07:36 AM.. |

Having said that, I drive is SE Michigan several times a month. It's easy to remember .6 as a reasonable conversion factor. Since the speedo reads a few kmh high, it's close enough. Just like we do the currency conversion at the outlet mall. At least the speed conversion rate doesn't change daily, eh? If it really bothers you, have you considered the Torque app?

Metric Markets > Metric gauges. It actually decreases the number of gauges to maintain stock of from 3 to 2 (Metric Only, Imperial/Metric, Metric/Imperial). There would be some savings and inventory streamlining associated |
