I have successfully coded! For some reason I couldn't activate FA on my first attempt, but after I reconnected it went through. I wanted to thank pikcachu for all your help!

Coded:
Digital speedometer
No dimming of halos with headlights
Roll up windows with key fob
Fold mirrors with key fob
Unlock doors with engine off
Turn off radio when door is open

The rest of the stuff I didn't care much for so I left it.

Cause you probably saved the fa

You cannot activate after you save. You need to re read it

I got a chance to look at the 100% halos at night now and it looks to be a bit too bright. From a distance, it almost hides the halos when the light is on because they're so bright. Rather than choosing one of the given percentages, I changed the actual value to 32. Since 100% = 64, can you confirm that 32 = 50%? At 32, it is definitely more noticeable than stock but not overpowering.

Ya hex 32 = 16x3 + 2 = 48 + 2 = 50

I didn't, but it should....

you can always put the headlight switch to off and the washer won't activate... headlight washer will only activate on auto or on setting...

so never bothered to code it

Yes true i have done that on my previous car but at in pitch black night its a little dangerous. i just find they waste so much washer fluid and really don't clean the lights all that much.

What does everyone do when bringing car in for regular maintenance like oil change or a problem covered under warranty? Do you change all coding back to stock?

I would do a another backup of my coding before going in for service. I have the original settings saved if ever there is a need to restore them back to default.

I don't believe a service department would care about your coding features. Might be another store during my end of lease pre-inspection

probably easier to VO code by using "Code" than restoring the original file though....

Yea true that's what i figured but if you change the start up screen to the M logo might be a little suspicious. But then again most tecks probably see so many diff models they figure that might just be specific to the model

Does changing 'Ambiente_Helligkeit' from 64 to 99 even work....? 64 in hex is already 100 in decimal... so changing it to 99 would be at 153 :O

Has anyone tried this and reporting it to be 'effective'?

now you can do stuff like

Trips need to be in BMW format .tar.gz and stored in a usb stick in BMWData\Navigation\Routes folder
Then go to Navigation Menu - My trips - Import from USB

How do you create the route? This would be very helpful as the GPS default route is not the exact way i like to travel. Would be nice to route my own and then just have the navi guide me.
