Service requirements at or after

Okay so I have what is probably a very obvious question regards service requirements on idrive.

My brake pads are due for a change 'when the stated distance has been covered', which is 17k miles.

My car has done 18k, so are they overdue, or not due until I've done 35k miles?!😂

Pad life depends on how you drive & the pad compound. You'll probably get closer to 35k from them if you drive reasonably. The pad wear sensors will warn you when it's time, but taking a look at the pads is the best bet.

^^This. Don't rely on iDrive for that. Get a small mirror and look at your pads every few months.

Mine say 3.1k miles left on the pad ever since I bought the car, 42k miles ago. I did replace and reuse the same sensor so that is part of it, but yeah dont worry too much about the sensor
