Ordered my 228i convert xdrive
Just ordered my 2015 228i convertible X-drive with:
Exterior Mineral Grey Metallic Brown soft top with silver effects harman/kardon premium sound Cold Weather Package•Retractable headlight washers •Heated front seats •Heated Steering Wheel M Sport•M steering wheel •Shadowline exterior trim •Aerodynamic kit Technology Package•Remote Services •Navigation system •Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information •Instrument cluster with extended contents •BMW Online and BMW Apps Picking this up at the performance center end of march has anyone done this yet?

Congrats!
I have done performance center delivery a couple of years ago, it's awesome. Afterwards you will be wondering why people even bother with regular dealership deliveries. You will do a small track event in the morning, and a factory tour after lunch. Then you get your car. My favorite part is when you're on the track in a loaner and they tell you "drive it like you stole it". |

Thanks for the reply so I made the right choice going there to get it? I wanted to do European delivery , because my two friends did it last year and I went with them! I vowed to go with them when they do it again and pick up my new 2 series convertible. But my 135i is now out of warranty and there is a problem with the water pump. The tires are sport tires and they are awful! Plus its rear wheel drive and I can't take it in the snow! So I said screw it I am getting it now especially when BMW said the X drive was coming out in the convertibles. So I looked into at least getting it at the performance center and driving it back to New Jersey! Not Germany , which was awesome by the way! BUt this will do!!!! This way now I get to experience everything BMW offers. I been to BMW NA in new jersey, I been to BMW HQ in munich and now Ill be at the performance center in Spartanburg! Can't wait to get this new 2 series I been following the production of it for a few years and now its going to be mine! I'll miss my 135i with all the power it has but I think with the top down I'll forget it quickly! I had a 323ci convertible when I was 25 and missed it. So this will be a nice return to my youth!!!

I went to Wide World BMW in Spring Valley , NY. I am suppose to pick it up at the performance center but have not heard a date when it will be here. So have to see.

Well I only paid $500 above wholesale which was around $45k BUT they tried to make it up with my trade in of my 135i! They originally came in at 5k below what I owed but I got them to come up a few thousand. So I had to roll like 2k into the new car so all said and done $2500 above wholesale. Don't forget the dealer gets a 1k credit from BMW because I am a repeat customer. I will get a $500 credit from BMW because I am a car club member too. BUt I have to wait until after I get it. So with everything I paid around 47k MSRP was around 49k.
