Arrow 2014 BMW cabin air filter replacement

Greetings:

Just replaced my cabin air filter on my 2014 f22 n20 228i.

Mileage: 32806

Tools needed: 10mm socket and a torx 20 bit

The replacement wasn't all that bad. It took me about 15 or 20 minutes...just taking my time. Purchased the cabin air filter from FCP Euro. I'd give a step-by-step, but the video quality at the youtube is excellent.

Installation note:
Direction arrow on filter must point in direction of travel.

Arrow

This is an OE filter according to FCP Euro. YES, the filter is charcoal activated if you have Auto Temp control. If you do a parts search at the site, they give you a few excellent options. Good luck...

I haven't even thought about the cabin air filter, I don't even know where its located. I only had my M235i for 3 weeks now its in the shop waiting for an answer from DINAN.

so, your new filter is not activated charcoal. the stuff that makes your old filter look "dirty" is the activitated charcoal...hence the gray color.
