Downpipes without brackets

Does anyone have a concern that the downpipes without brackets (enzo, VRSF etc) will have a long term effect on the turbo manifold? I see it levered off of there and it keeps me up at night. Granted a de-catted one is lighter but a lever is a lever. Thoughts?

It's probably ok because of the amount of support the remaining portions of the exhaust have; HOWEVER, it is lazy and cheap as hell that they don't use a bracket. I think those companies are under the impression that the intent of the bracket is to support the weight of a catted DP. That's really not the case. It's there to support the exhaust as a whole and to reduce NVH.

Agreed. This is why I chose a brand that has mounts. All the higher end names have it from what I've seen(ER, Wagner, Akra)

Yep, you get what you pay with companies like VRSF and the like.

Meh, none of my cars, BMWs or others, have had supported downpipes and I've never had a problem.

In theory you have a point, but we never had any issue with the downpipes that do not have brackets

I plan on keeping the car for a good long while if not forever. So I have started thinking about long term effects. I imagine the 4" diameter provides quite a bit of support. That said we don't have any 10 year long data do we? I may swap out just to have the warm fuzzy. It doesn't help that my day job is looking for failures all day.

Haven't seen any issues and DP's have been available on this platform for nearly 7 years.
