Seeking 225xe experience

I am considering the X1 xDrive25e and since it is built on the same platform as the AT and since it looks like it is using the same drivetrain as the AT 225xe I would appreciate any experience shared.

Especially reliability and how well the drivetrain works. I have tried the i8 which was really convincing but also the 330e that wasnít. Are there times where you regretted getting the hybrid?

We donít have any prices for the X1 yet in Denmark but the taxes for hybrids are lower than ICE cars so I expect the price for the X1 xDrive25e to be similar to an X1 xDrive20i or even lower when a lot of options are added. Any reflection on the price difference is appreciated as well. My preferred choice of X1 is the xDrive25i.

hello, I have a 225xe.
not bad, no reliability issues whatsoever in 17000 miles , bought it September 2018

electric range at best 15 miles depending on conditions, takes about 2 and a half hours to charge

I regret it cause my daily commute is longer, if EV range was better I would have strongly recommend it. Now it is good as long as your daily commute is less than 20 miles

Thanks for the feedback. The range the X1 will have is about 60%-80% of my daily commute. So I am not 100% convinced this is a good idea. Even though I like the idea of it.

Another question. How is the performance once the battery is empty?

having noticed any difference. Sport mode will charge the battery while driving and you will soon be at 50% and stay there.
Usually at comfort mode, not noticing any difference really regardless of the battery status
