Remote Start?

Have you checked the heat option? There is an asterisk saying you need the auxiliary heater. I went back and forth with BMW on this.. that aux heater isn't an option in the US, but you can get it added aftermarket.

Yeah.. I just got quoted 1650 for this system, AND you need to give up a FOB.

This lack of remote start was reason enough for me to look at the Lexus or the Infiniti instead of my M240xi. I also figured I could get more for the car when I sell it and have less costly repairs and maintenance. however, I would have a lot less enjoyment driving it and that's what mattered to me. Therefore, I got this car and added the starter because winter and I don't like each other.

Ha Ha!! Yep.. we had a GS350 F Sport AWD that I had them put the remote start on. Was extremely bummed to find out about the lack of remote start, but it is what it is.

best reason to get remote starter: warm-up the engine

vs. drive like an old lady for 10 minutes every time, too bad the average trip is ~15 mins. or just pin it cold and it drives like crap, soon it will all the time

heating (or cooling) the interior is just a bonus
