18x9 et35 square setup

Does anyone know if 18x9 et35 square setup is possible for our cars with xdrive? I'm assuming I would need to get some camber plates and maybe spacers for the front to fit.

There have been a few people who have made 17/18x9 square wheels work.

Useless Comment made it work with 17x9et30's. Lots of poke with big wheelgap, but it's a stock suspension as far as I can recall so maybe close to what you're looking for.

Dylan86 made it work with 18x9et42's. He's got lots of camber, KW Clubsport coilovers, spacers, and just about every adjustable suspension link under the sun to get them into exactly the right alignment to the millimeter.

Nugget fit 17x9et42's.
He runs a spacer in front, lots of camber, and had to trim the rear brake pads. I'm not sure what suspension he's on, but I think it might be Ohlins coilovers.

I've got a set of 17x9et42's on order from Apex's new ARC-8R group buy. I'm planning on a front fender roll, lots of camber, a 5mm front spacer, extended studs with a suspension using the Vorshlag camber plates, 1" Swift Spec-R lowering springs, and m-perf bumpstops listed in my sig. Hopefully it works!

So if you're somewhere in between u/Useless Comment's et30's and u/Dylan86 et42's, you should be okay. But it'll potentially take some fiddling and fine tuning to get all the components just right. It's also worth noting that all but Useless's car are RWD 2's.

I've seen some speculation out there that a 17/18x9et50 with a 15-20mm spacer up front will ultimately prove to be the best square fitment, but no one has taken the plunge on custom wheels for an unproven combination yet.

The bottom line is there's just such a wide discrepancy between the offset ranges for front and rear that you have to get expensive or goofy to make "wide" setups work, and even then, in the grand scheme of automotive tuning we're still pretty narrow. BMW really threw a strange design at us with Fxx chassis.

9" width wheels are going to be challenging in front.
