Exclamation Tuned BMW M240i Possible Automatic Transmission Failure

Hello so last night I went to the quarter mile in my 2020 BMW M240i Convertible. I fit 275/40/17 in the rears lowered an inch all around, Pure800 Port Injection 100% Methanol Injection, XHP Tune, Full Bolt On, Supra TU Pump, Custom Tuned. (Automatic Transmission) Coming off the line car went into a drivetrain malfunction mode, transmission malfunction, and threw up a bunch of lights. Now it doesn’t wanna grab first like the clutches are slipping, I have to roll off a stop (normal driving) in second, to shift into 3rd it slips a little bit, I developed a little trick to get it to drive, i let off and come back into throttle on the shift (like a manual) I’m in 3rd I go into 4th it’s a little rough but doable. Go into 5th transmission code and drivetrain code come back up and it bogs down weirdly it doesn’t want to grab the clutches it just spins them, I try to go into a higher gear no luck, I need help I don’t know what it could be maybe I have to reset learned adaptations, or mechatronic unit failed, maybe some solenoids failed, maybe the inner rings failed maybe i burned up clutches. I need answers to know how to approach this, If i can fix it with a reprogramming, maybe get it built and upgraded, upgrade the mechatronic, buy the ZF8HP70, buy the upgrade, I don’t
know what i should do. Please help.

The stock transmission is only rated at 500 Nm (370 ft-lb) of torque so what is your tune producing? The ZF8HP70 is rated at 700 Nm (520 ft-lb) so that sounds like the way to go.

By torque rating on the stock M240 auto transmission you mean 370 is the factory power rating, correct? I though there was a torque limit that was much higher than 370. I've hit 470 ft lbs torque on my MHD and XPH tuning setup and everything runs smooth. The original poster has a bit more power than that based on the mods listed above.

It should be making over 600 wheel hp easily not sure about torque

Nice. Unless some super-expert on transmission can diagnose from your post, your best path is to get the car to a shop and have a mechanic take a look. Hopefully it isn't too expensive of a fix.

We're torque limiters removed? You tuned it or someone else?

And by the way, did you revert to stock settings and see if it resolved issue?

And always remember, you've got to PAY to PLAY... If XHP tune was written what were the parameters that were changed? Again, I'm going to guess Torque limits were screwed with...

Good Luck
