It's not a bandwagon... there's just a line that needs to be crossed. Reasonable expectation. If you screw up, it's on you. If you've fallen for a trap, it's not.

This is the difference between some of us, some believe any bad result is a evidence of a trap. Others look at the grey area in the middle and ask questions.

If you blindly sign legal documents, and voluntarily agree to void a good contract and sign a new worse contract, you become complicit in the scam of your own self (assuming a gun wasn't pointed at you when you signed).

Obviously the bulk of the people who are scammed do not have multiple cars or the resources described. They select easy marks on purpose. I let the dealer finance my BRZ and they beat Penfed by a decent amount. And in my experience Penfed is always one of, if not the cheapest place to get new or used cars financed.

One time, I bought a car and after a couple days they called me back with great news that my payment went down by $63 a month. The rate and term stayed the same as well. I really thought there was a catch or something, but it wasn't. My amount of the loan even went down too. I bought a lot of extra packages so I was really happy.

How was this even possible?

You got charged $63 higher at first and then they "brought it down" to make you a repeat customer or get good reviews?

OR they just like you.

But they're not going around doing this for all their buyers/leasers that's for sure
