Burning Smell & Fluid

Just discovered this the other day. There's a bit of fluid/grease coming from this area and it's smoking and has a burning smell. Anyone had this happen or have any ideas what could be going on?

Just thought I'd reach out here before taking it into service. I'm not so mechanically inclined, but I will investigate it further in daylight when I have more time.

Yeah, looks just like that. Serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately?

I took care of it right away if I recall correctly the fumes were wafting into the cabin.

Mechanically I do not think it is an issue that will cause imminent catastrophic breakage.

There are some other post on this forum about this valve cover gasket leak since it's a common issue.

Okay appreciate the advice. And that's how I noticed it too, with the fumes coming into the cabin.

These modern valve covers are expensive and a fair bit of work to remove and replace. Long gone are the days when a rachet and socket were all you needed to change a valve cover in abut 10 minutes.
