All part numbers needed for M Performance Diff install

Lots of great threads on the M Performance diff, but I couldn't find one that had all the part numbers listed. My local BMW dealer gave me a quote of $4400 installed, the installation was about $840 of that. I'm fine with the installation fee but I should be able to do better on the parts. I have a 2020 M240i automatic, hoping another auto trans owner has had this done and can list off the part numbers. My dealer only gave me a verbal quote, so I couldn't get their part numbers.

They mentioned, the M performance diff, I know that is 33108659989.

Probably need new axle shaft seals, differential fluid, and drives haft coupling nut.

Thanks for any help,

Steve

Diff comes full with seals. Easy install if you have a lift!

Save some money and shop around. Here is a reputable vendor with a competitive price:

Any driveline shop can handle the install if you would rather outsource the labor.

Check this out: I go to my local BMW dealer and then locate the M perf LSD. I add the diff and installation to my cart-- the price is $3486, LSD is about 2700, then the rest is installation. I would try to build this out through your dealer's website if you can. $4400 seems like a thousand bucks more than you should have to spend.

When I installed mine I bought the part through BMW Parts Hub for $2280 shipped. Then paid a local import shop $850 for install so I paid $3130 all-in.

Thanks all for the replies.

I was able to login through the mybmw website. If I put the diff in my cart it gives me a discount of about 15%. So, $2,235.50 for the diff shipped to my dealer and $167.66 in sales tax, total of $2,403.16. The website also lists the dealer install at $412.50, which it says is an estimate and the dealer will determine the install cost. Dealer I itially quoted $840 for install, I can live with that.

Think I will pull the trigger on this through mybmw website and see what happens. Worst case is they refuse to do the install because I went around them and I have a new diff for $2,400 and just need to find an install shop. Best case they do the install for $850 and I am all set at $3,250 out of pocket.

Nice! I wanted to do the BMW dealer route using the online ordering but it wasn't available during the time I was wanting it done. Hope all goes well with the install. You will love how the car performs.
