Here's the info on the recall work they're doing:

Customer requests perform open recall - recall # stop013922 b122019 delivery stop: program control units (dme) b12 20 19 ~ 00-open
Customer requests perform open recall - recall # 0063580100 b630119 delivery stop: rear lamps b63 01 19 ~ 00-open

Not sure what these are exactly, although the SA mentioned that the one for the rear lamps is a visual inspection to see if there's any damage to the mounting clips in the lamps.

Anyone got any information on the first recall? All the SA could tell me today when I picked up the car is that it was a programming update, possibly something to do with emissions but he didn't have specific information.

My '18 LCI m240i Cabrio is in the dealership rn. I took it in for a tension cable replacement for the soft top (I have another thread about it).

I'm also getting the DME replacement. I'm in Toronto, Canada and this wasn't presented to me as a full blown recall but rather a voluntary service.

Paperwork said it affects F2x & F3x cars, will comment when I learn more.

Finally got my car back.

I seem to have a different recall number than you (maybe bc I am in Toronto, Canada)

Thanks for the follow-up. I didn't get any further information from my SA. Nothing about the tail lights, and nothing further about the DME.
