Highflow DP without tune??

Sorry for the noob question. Just haven't decided which tune to go with yet but wanna be ready for when I do decide. So is there any issues with running a high flow catted DP without a tune/stock?

No issues with running downpipe without a tune, just a CEL but you can ignore it.
You also get the CG precision downpipe, it wont cause a CEL

Is it super loud or just louder/sounds better? What's is the HP increase and how easy is the install? I am sure these questions can be found but I figured if the conversation was going then I would ask here lol. I already said I would have a million questions

HP gains is about 20 WHP

Catted Downpipe sound is almost identical to stock, the only time you will notice a difference is on Wide Open Throttle. Its ~ 20% louder than stock

Thank you! How tough is installation? Thoughts on this in conjunction with a dinan CF intake or similar?

install takes 2 hours, completely separate from the intake install

Not bad at all on the time, I assume the car has to go on a lift? Sorry if that is an idiotic question. My question on the DP with the intake was more about performance than installation or time. I guess a better question would be if the intake would be a good idea to go along with the DP and is there one you would suggest than another?

Downpipe job can be done without a lift but its a pain.

The intake and downpipe are good mods, i think you are doing the right thing by getting both

How does it improve performance that much without changing the AFR?

How much boost does a stock M240i make?

Guessing a downpipe voids warranty?

downpipe makes power by removing the restrictive cats (catless) or replacing them with high flow cats (catted). the turbo will spool faster and make more power mid to high RPM. To take full advantage of the gains, you need to tune the car.

BMW do not target a specific PSI but a load which varies depending on different conditions

Warranty is a tricky question, as long as no harm is done by the tune warranty should be intact. That being said some dealerships are easier on mods than others. Its always best to check with your service adviser
