I just paypal'd (yes.. that's a verb) a down payment to Anthony for a square 18x8.5 et35 shaved to et39 for my yet to be completed M240.

My question(s)... I had originally planned on 245/35/18 Conti's, but after many PM's to Anthony and reading this entire thread (a few times) looks like that isn't the safe bet for a stock xdrive M240 setup. I do not plan on lowering the car and will keep the stock height. So leaning towards the safe/no rub/no poke setup I was going to pull the trigger on PS A/S+3 in 235/40/18. With the 18x8.5 et 39 square setup on a stock F22 xdrive suspension.... this should work?? No rub or poke?

A little of 2K in a wheel/tire package, I just want to ensure when the goods get delivered I'm not with a setup that doesn't fit my bill.

FWIW I was going to do the Alutec driven 18x8 40et in 245/35/18 square setup until I saw the 437M wheels.

TIA
Scott
235/40/18 will fit no poke and no rubbing. 245 would cut it close up front, but would be fine in the back. best to do 235 first, measure everything after and see if you can fit an extra 5mm (roughly) on the inside when straight and at full lock in both directions.

I like the alutec wheels, but they're just too blocky looking imo. Wasn't as clean of a look for what I wanted.

I am waiting on my set of 18x8.5 (+39) square setup as well. I also have xDrive on stock suspension and was hoping to go with a square 245 setup but decided against it like you. Seems like it might work but too risky. Will be going with the 235/40/18 AS3+ as well. Are you in the Pittsburgh area bowhun2r ?

And Joe, I agree about the Alutec Drives, just too blocky and not as clean looking as the 437M. Like they wanted to copy them but make them just a little different.

I have the Alutec Drives and I do agree with everything said. It was between the Drives and the 437M. The primary reason I went with Drives was the 43mm offset and 8" width for the front. With the Drives, I can run a meaty 245/35R18 in the front with plenty of clearance and absolutely no poke. With the 43mm offset, the wheels are pushed just to the fender line making them appear wider than they really are.

I do wish the Drives came in a 8.5 width because I'd love to do a 18X8 245/35 in the front and a 18X8.5 255/35 out back. IMO, that would be perfect. Since I wanted more meat in the front with no poke or did not want to add spacers, I went with the cheaper (price wise), but arguably higher quality Drives which are made in the same factory as the OEM 2 series rims, carry the same certifications, and have a 5 year finish warranty. The 437M definitely look a bit a better and more aggressive. I have wavered on getting the Drives sprayed in a slightly smoked clear to reduce some of the machined spoke facing. I think that would help remove some of the blockiness.

Yes sir. Finleyville. Bobby Rahal is my dealer (or the dealer I use).

My delivery date isn't till EOM or early July. I should have the tire/wheel/TPMS purchase completed and will drop them off at the dealer so I can pick it up with the wheel/tires I want on the car. Plus the MPE I picked up earlier this week too.

Just ordered my tires yesterday! Looking forward to my shipment. Will need to intercept before wife sees them.

Because why would a new car need new wheels...

What do you think the legal allowed ratio of womens shoes to set of wheels is in the average relationship? I'd say the average is 20.7-25.2 pair of shes per set of wheels.

You think it varies by state??

I just did a quick count (may have overlooked the "fall/winter collection as they are stored elsewhere...) 23 boxes of summer shoes. I think you are spot on.

That being said... I believe I will still attempt to intercept

UPS just dropped off wheels

I only opened up 1 of 4 boxes.

Initial impressions:

Well packaged. Boxes (except for one being a little damaged) came through customs and UPS very well. The shavings from mine being milled to et 39 were on the wheels and you can see the shavings on some of the pics.

The BMW logos are discs with 3M tape on the back. There are plastic inserts that the BMW logo adheres too. The M logo has similar 3M tape on the back. OEMconcept It appears I'm missing 2 M logos as box #1 had a baggy with the M logos in it. Unfortunately, the bag was ripped and only 2 M logs were remaining in the bag.

I have the 4 BMW center logos, however only a single plastic insert. I'm assuming the other plastic inserts are in the other boxes (still to be unpacked). Wanted to get these pics up and will unpackage and jetseal the wheels prior to getting them mounted.

So here are the pics. I'm hoping the other plastic discs are in the boxes (will update)...however I'm thinking the M logos I'll be asking Anthony to ship a few to me since there was a bag with 2 of them in box 1...just ripped open.

I weighed the wheel with the super accurate wife's scale...22lbs... pretty sweet.
