12v outlets and USB ports not powering off when stopping the engine
Hi,
have a new Series 2 Active Tourer xe225, but guess this specific behavior may be common across other models, and would like to use my child detection device. It works detecting child's presence on his/her seat by the time the car is switched off, by detecting loss of power on the 12V outlet. Have seen on my BMW this is not happening, so that all outlets are still powered on (at least for a few minutes) after the Stop button is pressed and also after the car is closed and locked. This way the detection device is not usable, if not dangerous, so that was wondering if there was any way to change current behavior. Thanks in advance! Mike |

I don't know if you can change it, but the power adapters have been live with the ignition off in every BMW I have ever owned since my E30.
