Removing a ballpoint pen mark from Red Leather Seat?

I have no idea how it got there, but the passenger seat cushion of my 230i has a ballpoint pen mark on it.
So far I've tried water (no result) diluted Woolite (seemed to work on part of it), and Lexol cleaner (not much result, as far as I can see).

I'm afraid to rub too hard. I've been using microfibre cloths.

Any suggestions?

Call the dealership. I'm thinking pen ink is like a dye so you would need a solvent. Use a Q-tip if you must, but why not call first?

I just came across this article that discusses how to remove ink from leather:

You are right to only use microfibre clothes and/or soft brush-no hard pressure!

I used Zaino Z9 and Z10 to clean jean dye marks that rubbed off on the seats from dark denim. Worked like a charm on coral red leather!

I tried a bit of canola oil with a Q-tip, and it seems to work. A tiny bit of the leather dye comes off but a lot less than when I used isopropyl alcohol.
