What is the nut size on the rear shock top hat for the adaptive suspension?

I'll be installing my Dinan springs on my M235 and I cannot figure out what the nut size is on the rear shock top hat for the adaptive suspension. Some posts/videos I've seen say 15mm and others say 18mm. I'd like to know for certain to make sure I have the correct pass-through socket. I need to remove the top hat in order to install the new bumpstops. Thanks.

Is that the #8 nut in this diagram?

Yep. I wish BMW would provide the sizes.

It's a 16mm flanged nut on my M240i (same part nos. as the M235i: 07119907135 & 33506896360 - pick one, I guess).
