Here is a an internal view of an HJS 200 cell performance cat.
Installation of our downpipe is straight forward and even for a novice takes a maximum of 1-2 hours.

All the company's making Hi-flow DP for the M235i appear to be using the same sports cat

They don't. Some use good cats, some use cheap ones. Just because the picture looks similar does not mean they are the same.

Well the 3 variants of Catted downpipes for the M235i I have looked at have had HJS on the side.

Actually there are all kinds of different HJS 200 cell cats. Fabspeed is the #2 worldwide distributor of HJS products and has access to converters other brands dont have access to. Just because another brand uses HJS doesn't mean they are using the same converters.

Update:

The downpipe will be in today (shop needed to order a sealing ring that the dealership didn't put in last time), but I am still having issues with my busted camber plates, so it will still be a little bit before I get a review up. Don't despair -- it will come, just not this weekend probably.

OP this sounds like a great product from your review. Great to know no CEL as I'm not sure I want to tune the car yet.

Any chance you could make a sound clip for us with cold start, as well as warm idle and some drive by's?

I plan on doing some soundclips in the near future. I was going to do a cold start and some in-cabin runs with the windows down.

I have a AP-design race-cat DP coming,no other mods to exhaust,i hope it
is as good experience as you have had,pretty much want the same thing you
have got out of this DP as stated in your last update.

Just got my Fabspeed Catted down pipe installed today by Supreme Power in Anaheim. Very satisfied! Still early but my butt dyno can definitely tell a difference in acceleration. I have the stock exhaust and I hear a growl on acceleration with my windows down. Keeping my fingers crossed for no CELs. Now I'm just waiting for my AWE exhaust. 4 weeks and STILL waiting.

In comfort mode with the gear lever to the left, the throttle is definitely more responsive. In sport, the car just seems super eager to stretch its legs. Still need a few days to get a good read on everything though. Still want to get a thorough run down in all the modes in street and highway driving.

Really enjoying the increased crackles and burbles from the Fabspeed dp and increased turbo whine with the Dinan CAI!

Took her out this morning and the car is a complete joy to drive! Smooth, powerful acceleration in comfort and sport. Sport is just more willing and violent when you want it! Now if only AWE will hurry up on my complete exhaust so I can get that deeper baritone!!
